Tropical Military

I'm so happy it's Friday and I am leaving for Florida tomorrow! Hooray!
This morning, I opened my closet, took one look at my "30 for 30" clothes and said, "I'm sick of you." Haha...I'm really ready for it to be over. I miss my other clothes!
Off to my last day of work (for a few days)!

Berried in Ruffles

It's no secret...I love ruffles! And if you weren't sure, just check out today's outfit. I paired my ruffles with my raspberry skirt and accented with shades of purple- right down to my eye makeup. ;)
Isn't this purse adorable??? My sister bought it for me a few years ago and I think it's so creative! It has ruffles made out of zippers!
So fun!
I'm already off to a great Thursday! Hope you are too! :)

Chilly morning.....what?!?!?

I walked outside this morning and this was the look on my face:
Uhh...yeah...it was cold.
Ironically, it was bathing suit day at the school, so I dressed extra summery since I knew I'd be outside in the heat.
On top of my poor judgement in clothes, I was running late. I had to choose between taking a few pictures of my outfit or doing my hair. I think you can see which way I went with that.
I have my priorities.
See you tomorrow!

Busy busy busy!!!!!

I have so much to do before my trip to Florida this weekend, so I admit that I've slacked on the blogging! This "30 for 30" thing is taking forever, but I'm powering through. I don't have much to say in this post since I'm currently trying to scarf down a lean pocket, blog and pull up my flight info all at the same time.
It's ca-razy.

 Happy Tuesday!

Jungle Cruise

Hi there! It's me again and once again
I had to work on a Saturday.
When I started putting this outfit together, it reminded me of the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland.
It's a well known fact amongst my friends and family that I LOVE Disneyland.
I have an annual pass, a favorite Disney princess and I might....maybe...possibly... have a smallish Disney snowglobe collection. Oh yeah...just when you thought I couldn't POSSIBLY be any cooler, I go and blow your mind with my love of Disney!

I hope you're having a fantastic weekend! I'm SO excited for tomorrow! It's my first day off in TWENTY days and I'm going to spend every minute of it at the beach! Yay!

Tied with a bow.

I realized this morning, as I was looking through my 30 pieces, that I have only worn my little short sleeved cardigan once during this whole challenge. I decided to button it up and wear it as a top today.
I knew that I was going to have to do something interesting with my accessories to make this outfit stand out. I have seen lots of gals wearing scarves in their hair in many different ways. I admit that I have been afraid to try this.
I don't know why. I can't explain it.
I'm also afraid of bees.

Sidenote: I LOVE my Madden Girl flats!
I got them for $7 at Savers and they had never been worn!

So, let me ask you....the scarf bow...is it too cute? Or is it Tupac?

A Lunchtime Tutorial

Soooo...I woke up late. Story of my life. And I didn't have time to take my pictures, which meant I had to drive home on my lunch break to take them. Once I got home, the sun was right above me and it was WAY too bright to take outdoor pics.

Ok....so I have to take indoor pics.
No biggie. First, I tried the dining room.

These were okay, I guess. But I thought...MAYbe the kitchen will be better since the lighting is better.
 NOPE.

Eh..whatever. At least I got a few shots of the outfit,
which is ultimately my goal.
So while I was in the kitchen, I decided to wash my hands.

Here comes your tutorial!

Step 1: Put soap in your hands. I prefer an antibacterial liquid soap.

Step 2: Turn on the water. This can be a comical step-
especially if you're photographing it.

Step 3: After vigorously rubbing your hands together,
rinse all of the soap off.

Step 4: Look around for a towel to dry off your hands.

Step 5: Smile! Your hands are clean!

I hope you learned a lot today.
Now you too can be fashionable AND clean!
Back to work for me!

More Nonsense!

I decided to take a break today from my "30 for 30" to post more pics from my weekend with Shana and Edwina. We decided to pay a visit to one of my favorite places- IKEA.
Edwina had never been before and I couldn't WAIT to show her!
First, my outfit. This entire outfit was thrifted. Yay! I love that. I had been wanting to find a pair of flowered shorts for a while. I finally found them at the Goodwill. I was so excited!

I had also been wanting to find red suede heels....mainly because I've been obsessed with them here. Every time she wears them, I want them. I couldn't believe I found a similar pair at Goodwill! They aren't heels, but I love them just as much.
Plus, they were $3.00.

Another great find that you've probably seen in previous posts was my "Dirkin". Shana and Edwina have been calling my bag my "Dirkin" ever since they laid eyes on it because it reminded them of this Birkin bag which carries a price tag of around $1,600  correction- $17,000.00 (Thank you, Whitney! I decided to do a little research and this seems to be the going rate on Ebay).
Clearly, I know nothing about expensive things.
My "Dirkin" was $7.00 at Savers! Haha!

Ok, enough about my outfit. Once we entered the magic that is IKEA, all nonsense broke loose.
Here's just a little taste of what took place:

We had a lot of fun...probably too much fun. And I think the other shoppers weren't sure what to make of us.
But then again, that's nothing new.
I had such a great time with my girls and I miss them terribly!
It seems it's now my turn to pay them a visit in Vegas and
continue our nonsense!
